Yellow Midi Dress with Pockets

I’ll start this post on a serious note because I would never want to trivialize world events.

At any given moment, on any given day there are so many tragic things taking place and countless heartbreaks.  It’s hard not to feel overwhelmed.  Finding happiness in each day is a continuous challenge for me, but I look to small things for joy and try to always remain grateful.  Some days I succeed, and other days I fail.  When I can’t find my own sunshine, I still make an effort to shine some into others’ lives. ☀️  So with that in mind, please consider making a donation to the Salvation Army’s Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts here (or a charity of your choice). ❤

One of the small ways I find joy is in my clothing choices.  People often ask me why I dress up all the time.  The simple answer is because it makes me feel good. 🙂  Today’s #OotD is a perfect example.

I’ve been searching and searching for a bright, (true) yellow, midi dress for quite some time; but hadn’t had much luck finding one.  I finally came across this dress on Amazon, and despite the low number of reviews, was swayed to buy it by the great price and positive feedback.  I was not disappointed! 💃

This dress is a heavy weight fabric, with a full lining.  It has pockets and retails for $29.90!  And if that weren’t enough, it’s true to size, is available in sizes 0-22, and comes in 8 colors!!! 😍  I’ll definitely be buying additional colors.

For this look, I paired the dress with a simple skinny belt and #NudeForMe  😉 strappy sandals. Outfit details below.
